Recovery Kit

Your recovery kit is a critical document that allows you to to reset your password in case you forgot it.

Please store your Recovery Kit securely—just like you would with important documents such as your birth certificate.

Why is it Important?

When you create your account, you’ll receive a Recovery Kit (PDF download). This kit allows you to reset your password at any time, even if you lose access to your device.

IMPORTANT

Without the Recovery Kit, we cannot restore your data, as it is end-to-end encrypted and we have no access to it.

Recovery Kit Download

If you still know your current password, you can generate and save a new Recovery Kit anytime in your Account Settings.

Look for Emergency Kit or Secret Key and you will find a Download button.

It contains your key as a long string you can type in or just scan the QR-Code if you are using your phone.
