Sharing

All plans except for the "Starter" plan, allow you to share the storage quota with your friends and family.

By default, only the storage quota is shared. If you wish to share photos/videos, you have two options.

Follow this guide to setup multiple account under the same subscription.

Sharing everything

If you want to share your whole library, the easiest way to do that is just use one account and log it in into any number of devices you want to collect photos/videos from.

Each device can have its own backup settings:

• Backup all automatically
• Let users pick which photos they want to backup on which device (deactivate automatic backup)

Sharing albums

If you just want to share albums (and all the photos/videos that are in there), do the following

• Create a new album
• Create a share link for the new album
• If you want others to be able to add photos/videos to the album as well, enable "Allow uploads"
• Distribute share link either via Link or QRCode with friends and family
• If they have the zeitkapsl app installed on their device and are logged in, the link will automatically open the app and offer them to "accept" the share.
• If they don't have the app installed, they can still view the album in the browser.
• If they are logged in in the web app, they will see an "Accept share" button below the title image of the album

Collaborative sharing

If you enabled "allow uploads", other users can add photos/videos to the shared album the same way as on any other (non shared) album.

by selecting items in the main grid and click the "add to album" button.

Option 2

by navigating into the shared album and click the "add photos/videos" button.
