Reporting bugs
Found something broken? A good bug report helps us fix it much faster. Send reports to support@zeitkapsl.eu or through contact support.
Writing a good bug report
The more precise the report, the quicker we can reproduce and fix it. Include:
- What happened, and what you expected to happen instead.
- Steps to reproduce, the exact sequence of taps or clicks that triggers it. If it only happens sometimes, say so.
- Platform and version, web, desktop, Android, or iOS, and the app version (shown in settings).
- A screenshot or screen recording, especially for anything visual. Use the builtin blur filter of your screenshot tool to redact personal info or photos.
- The request ID, whenever the bug involves an error message.
Do not include your recovery kit or password
Never attach your recovery kit or password to a support request. We never need either to help you, and no legitimate request from us will ask for them.
Finding your request ID
When something fails on the web app, the error message includes a Request ID. This identifies the exact request on our servers, so include it in your report, it lets us find the failure in our logs immediately.
